We are looking to expand our community - so we've decided to introduce our first contest in the form of a membership drive.

The Contest

The winner will be decided based on a referral system. The first user who can bring us 10,000 posts wins the contest.

Now 10,000 posts may seem like a lot - but remember that this includes people you refer. If you are the first to refer just 10 users who make 1,000 posts each, or 100 users who make 100 posts each, you will win! These are just examples though - it doesn't matter how many users you refer or how many posts each user makes, all that matters is the total number of posts made by all of your referrals combined.

There is no expiration date on this contest. We are counting all posts from November 24, 2011 until the end of the contest. Note that we will not tolerate spammy or low information posts, or posts made simply to attain post count. These posts will be removed and will not count towards your total.

The Referral Process

Making referrals is easy! All you have to do is give the user a referral link. You can get this right in your User CP (click here to go to your User CP, you must be logged in), under the section labeled "Your Account Summary".

You can link directly to any page on this site as long as you have your user ID in the query string at the end. These are just a few examples:

Send this link to your friends, post it in your signature or your web site, all of your referrals and their post counts will be tracked automatically!

The Prize

Now, on to the prize! The prize is a brand new Dell laptop, still in the box with a 1 year warranty. Specifications at a minimum will be:

Windows 7
Dual or Quad Core CPU
4GB+ of RAM
320GB+ Hard Drive
15" Screen
DVD+RW Burner
Built-In WiFi

We may expand this contest in the future to have multiple winners, but for now the contest will only have one winner. We will be posting any updates in this announcement.
