I say screw it, profile profile profile! It's what law enforcement does. People think "profiling" is where you just seek out people based on one single factor, which is why when you say "profile" people think "bad" and "racist"

Profiling is absolutely effective if you do it right. What could be more effective than contributing everything you can to your risk analysis? Hell as far as I'm concerned profiling is just risk analysis without being hampered by political considerations.

See, profiling works but you damn sure better do it right if you want results. And me thinks that to a bunch of bigoted righties, profiling means "search all Muslims" in which case it's a dumb idea.

Yeah that's true. Profiling ineffectively is just as bad if not worse than not profiling at all.
